本季轉戰布魯克林的林書豪，雖然年薪高達1150萬美元，但樂於助人的豪哥，2日發起一日樂捐活動，他個人則是每投進1顆三分球就捐出100美元，希望能籌募20萬美元來救助貧困兒童與女孩，讓小朋友獲得教育成長機會。
林書豪此次與人道組織創始人尤金共同發起一日樂捐活動，救助貧困孩童。尤金表示，「林書豪是我最喜歡的NBA球員，他在球場上的奮戰精神，以及帶領全隊的那種堅毅神情令人感動。」
林書豪說，目前全球有數百萬孩童處在飢餓狀態，同時也無法得到教育，進而改善生活品質，甚至還發生童婚的現象，更有不少女孩在青春期沒有衛生用戰勝21點莊家賭博技巧品因此，我才會與人道組織一起推動解救貧困孩童的運動，希望世人能關注這個問題，透過你我的捐助幫助那些無助的孩童。
林書豪說，「這個活動由我發起，本季只要每投進1顆三分球就會捐出100美元，球迷們則可以選擇捐出1日工資，或是以他的球衣背號『7』，捐出7美元贊助他拍攝的廣告。
