新華社報導，周洪轉的成績是1分47秒45，將世界紀錄推進0.03秒。從第3道起跑的她一路領先，繼北京、倫敦兩屆帕運後，再度在這個項目奪金，也是她在里約帕運拿下的第3面金牌。
周洪轉先前已在輪椅競速女子400公尺T53級、輪椅競速女子1600公尺接力T53/T54級比賽中站上最高頒獎台，並在輪椅競速女子100公尺T53級比賽中摘下1面銀牌。
結束里約帕運所有賽事的周洪轉說，在最後一場比賽使出了全部力氣，希望還能站在2020年東京帕運的跑道上。「訓練了12年，一切都是值得的。」
周洪轉1988年生於河北省黃驊市，3歲時因小兒麻痺雙腿不良於行。2004年，河北省殘疾人聯合會到黃驊選拔運動員，周洪轉的叔叔背著她去參加體能測試，從此改變了她的命運。
在2008年北京帕運上，周洪轉獲得1金、1銀、1銅。4年後的倫敦帕運上，她再替中國大陸隊奪得2金、1銀、1銅。1050918
